[Bristol-Birds] Orchard Oriole and other birds in Kingsport

Friday evening April 16 about 6:30 pm as I sat on my front porch, I saw
a first year male Orchard Oriole stop briefly in the top of an oak tree
next to my yard. I got my binoculars on it in time to see the black bib
and yellow head. A sure sign of spring.
Also on Apr. 16 in a nearby oak tree that had the top broken out a year
or two ago, a male Red-bellied woodpecker made several trips into a nest
hole. I suspect the female is sitting on eggs. Will keep a lookout for
further activity.
Today Apr. 17 I visited the section of the Greenbelt off of Ravine
Street where a Yellow Crowned night heron nest was found last year. I
did not see any sign of the herons today.
