Bristol Area Birders:
On Monday afternoon (April 5) an adult Black-crowned Night Heron was
roosting in a dense clump of trees at Middlebrook Lake in Bristol, TN. Both
Monday and Tuesday there were 10 Blue-winged Teal mainly feeding on the
spillway. Also 10 Ring-billed Gulls were hanging around.
At the South Holston River Weir Dam picnic area a Hermit Thrush was feeding
out on the lawn with running, stopping and feeding behavior not much
different than an American Robin. I don't think I remember seeing one
feeding out in the grass in the wide open.
Let's go birding......
