[Bristol-Birds] Watauga Area

 Hey every birder~   This afternoon I took a trip to the dam and that area
from 2pm-4:15pm.  Saw a hole lot of birds.  Here's the list:   Watauga Dam:
(25) Buffleheads (7) American Crows (3) Common Loons (same areas as last
time) (3) Common Ravens (2 at the raven road area and I up top at picnic
area) (1) Northern Cardinal -male (2) Pileated Woodpeckers (2 pair on the
wayto top lake) (2) Northern Flickers (couldn't tell if were pair) (4)
Black-throated Green Warblers (1) Green Heron (2) Mallards (pair) (10+) Bank
Swallows (at top at end of trail where you see the dam...                      
nbspome might have been Rough-Winged Swallows but wasn't sure)     up top by
picnic area/new view platform thing... (1) Sleeping Screech Owl (in small
hole in tree) (3+) Tufted Titmouse (mostly heard) (5+) Black-capped
Chickadees (mostly heard) (1) Downey Woodpecker (drilling on the new view
thing) (2) Barred Owls... (1 calling from otherside of lake and one calling
from picnic table area.)                                                 
(they were calling to each other @ 3:30pm!!!!)   By Metal Bridge: (1) Great
Blue Heron (2) Blue-winged Teal (pair) (1) Woodcock   What do you think!!!
