[Bristol-Birds] Birding at Erwin

There was a lot of activity this morning at Devil's Looking Glass, a rock face
beside the Nolichucky River near Erwin, Tennessee. Two Common Ravens were seen
flying near and landing on the face. A Raven's nest was also seen. The nest
appeared to be in good shape with apparently fresh whitewash beside and below
it. There was no activity, however, that would directly associate those birds
with that nest. Nesting Canada Geese were seen high up on the face, and many
Northern Rough-winged Swallows were exploring long horizontal crevices that
were protected by overhangs.
An Osprey was seen in a tree across I-181 from the Linear Park at Erwin.
Several pairs of Wood Ducks were swimming with their young at the Fish Hatchery
Park at Erwin.
