SPRING BUTTERFLY FIELD TRIP
 
 
The Mountain Empire Butterfly Club is sponsoring a butterfly fieldtrip to 
Weavers Bend on the French Broad River, Saturday, March 29th.
Anyone can participate, just meet us at Bob Evans Restaurant, 2801 Boones Creek 
Rd, Johnson City at 10:00 a.m. Carpooling is available from this point.  
Weavers Bend is an area where sightings of early Swallowtails, Angle Wings and 
Dusty Azures make their first appearance in this area.
Spring wildflowers should also be visible.  Remember to bring your binoculars 
for enhanced viewing.
The field trip will be lead by Don Holt, Naturalist, 4H Camp Instructor and 
President of the Elizabethton Chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society.
