[Bristol-Birds] peregrine falcon monitoring - volunteers needed

Dear TN Birders –
Volunteers are needed to monitor peregrine falcon nests in western North
Carolina (including the Roan Mountain area in western NC - eastern TN).
Nesting season runs early March through June. Observers confirm that falcons
are back on territory (March), monitor the nesting cycle (March-May), and count
the number of nestlings (May). Requires a vehicle, ability to hike in mountain
terrain (some sites), half to full day in the field, binoculars, spotting scope
and tripod, and keen, objective observation skills. Training materials will be
