Clear DayThe trumpeter swan has moved from its location at the small pond on US
19 in Abingdon to the larger "Crabtree Pond" about 1/4 mile north on the same
road. It may be moving between the two ponds on a regular basis. I have
learned that the swan was first seen about three weeks ago at the beaver ponds
on Wolf Creek located next to the town's Business and Technology Park. These
ponds are located not far down stream from the small pond where I first
observed it earlier this week. Ed Morgan, Abingdon.
