[Bristol-Birds] Yellow-throated Warbler - Breaks Park

Bristol Birders,
Michelle and I decided to head over to the Breaks Interstate Park this
morning to look for spring migrants. We were not disappointed and found our
first Yellow-throated Warbler of 2007 behind Shelter #3. Pine Warblers (5) and
Blue-headed Vireos (8) were found in several spots in the park. Soaring out
over the gorge were both Turkey and Black Vultures, American Crows, and Common
Ravens. At Laurel Lake we were pleasantly surprised by two male Red-breasted
Mergansers in a small group of six Ring-necked Ducks. At the Towers Overlook, I
thought I heard a distant Black-and-white Warbler down in the gorge but it was
too far to call. Jim Phillips reported two B&W Warblers at Pipestem State Park
in West Virginia yesterday. Everything is showing up a little early this year.
