Interesting how these things get started. This was passed along to you by Bob
Lyle nearly 50 years ago and you still think of this every time St. Patrick's
Day approaches. You passed this along to me nearly 30 years ago and it's the
first thing that comes to my mind when I think about St. Patrick's Day.

Subject: [Bristol-Birds] a full clutch of Common Raven eggs
St. Patrick's Day, March 17, is the date each year when the majority of the
Common Ravens in our region have
a full clutch of eggs in their nest. This info passed along to me nearly 50
years ago by Bob Lyle of Johnson
City. Bob was one of the birdwatchers who collected wild bird eggs for a
hobby. His egg collection is housed
in the Department of Biology at ETSU.
