[Bristol-Birds] Vultures roost appears to have dispersed

Middlebrook Lake
Bristol, Sullivan Co., TN

The large roost of Turkey Vultures and Black Vultures at Middlebrook Lake in 
mid-February appears to have 
dispersed or migrated further north.  It is time for Black Vultures to be at 
nests and egg laying 
so that is why suspected dispersal.  On the other hand,  Turkey Vultures begin 
to nests
in a few weeks.  It seems to me that the large build up we watched there in 
February was
mostly migrants headed north and held up by weather systems.  Of course we have 
had a
small roost of vultures wintering near the lake for a number of years but 
nothing like the very
large numbers we saw there last month.
