As reported, Sam and I jumped 94 Mallard in a well flooded Quarry Bog 4 MAR
2006. Bird Study in Shady Valley Tennessee by J. Wallace Coffey and John L.
Shumate, Jr., the Max. count for Mallard at 38 on 24 FEB 1992 at Beaverdam
Creek
off U.S. 421. This number is not increased in a 13 OCT 2002 revision provided
by Coffey. As far as a Johnson County wide high count on Mallard I don't have
any data on the Northern portion of Watauga Lake or other would be Mallard
"hot spots."
