[Bristol-Birds] Wood Ducklings

As I drove across the bridge over our stream 3/12, I looked east, down
stream, and saw the first wood duck of the year on our property. It was a
male,
amazingly with two ducklings! Isn't this unusually early in NE Tennessee for
that? Also, are the intense chorus frog and spring peeper "dins" since early
February unusually early? That same day, I saw a common snipe along the
Sullivan
Gardens parkway (93) in a large puddle at the new soccer fields. Today, I
had, upstream on our stream, two male mallards, one hybrid Peking/mallard male
and a pure white Peking duck. First sightings of such here. Total bird
species (non-domesticated) seen on or from our property since we moved in June
1
last year: 94! John Moyle Glen Alpine Road Kingsport Sullivan County
