[Bristol-Birds] Fox Sparrow Right on Schedule, Hampton, TN

I've been waiting all through February, and none showed up.
But, this afternoon (March 2), I've had a single Fox Sparrow feeding on the
ground beneath my platform feeder at home in Hampton (Carter Co.), TN.
I picked him out at a glance when I saw the single sparrow dwarfing the Song
Sparrows, White-throated Sparrows and Dark-eyed Juncos. Then I got my
binoculars on the bird and fully appreciated this big, colorful sparrow.
Yesterday, in Erwin, Unicoi Co., TN, wandering small flocks of American
Robins turned up nearly everywhere I went. Looks like, based on Wallace
Coffey's
earlier post, this advance guard of migration had an even distribution
throughout the region.
