Area Birders:

Rack Cross and I had some pretty fair waterbirds while conducting other
field work in the area Saturday (3/6).

At Clear Creek Lake, Washington Co., Bristol Virginia:

Red-breasted Mergansers 15 (mostly adult males in breeding colors)
Greater Scaup  12
Lesser Scaup   1
Ring-necked Duck  35
American Wigeon  2
Pied-billed Grebe  1
Black-crowned Nigh-Heron  1
Bufflehead  1
American Coot  28

Musick's Campground, South Holston Lake, Sullivan Co., TN
Lesser Scaup  14
Horned Grebe   1
Pied-billed Grebe  5
Ring-billed Gull  300
Herring Gull  1
