Hey Wallace,
We have had plenty of summer reports for ospreys along the Bluestone & New
Rivers here in Summers County, WV but we haven't confirmed a nesting.
Again this winter, we have had at least 5 bald eagles on Bluestone Lake, so
we hope to confirm a nest this year. A Pipestem park guest took a picture of
a nest last July that has to be osprey or eagle but I haven't been able to
confirm. Whenever my days off roll around it is windy, snowy, icy, sleety,
rainy or even nasty and I haven't packed up the canoe to check. Maybe, I
will soon.
A couple of your clubmembers from Abingdon stayed at the park this week.
