     Thursday, March 28, 2002 at Steele Creek Park I saw
two Bonaparte's Gulls swimming in the lake.  Kevin Hamed tells me that is the 
second record for the park, the first being last year.  Also we had two Tree 
Swallows, one Northern Rough-winged Swallow, and one Barn Swallow.
     Friday, March 29, we had two Tree Swallows and one Purple Martin.  At 7:30 
pm, on a Twilight Walk at Rooster Front, an Eastern Screech Owl responded to my 
lame impersonation, surprising the socks off of yours truly.  They usually 
leave the county when I start in.  Move over Larry McDaniel, next I'm 
experimenting with some new, super-stimulus pish-off notes!
