Great Blue Herons - 6 in heronry along with a sleepy raccoon
Double-crested Cormorant - 1
Gadwall - 70 (highest count for us here)
American Wigeon - 2
Green-winged Teal - 2
Northern Shoveler - 4
Mallard - 8
Coot - 5
Ring-billed Gull - 200+
Eastern Screech Owl - 1
TREE SWALLOW - 1
The Great Blue heronry viewed from McKinney Chapel Road (downstream from dam)
had 13 Great Blue Herons this afternoon.
FYI - Several local teachers have been keeping an eye on the Bald Eagle nest on
Clinch - no activity reported yet.
