Greene County, primarily in the western portion
About three hours in the field this afternoon produced the following:
Greater White-fronted Goose (4 on Highway 340 opposite Turner Lane)
Snow Goose (on Highway 340 opposite Turner Lane)
Canada Goose (93)
Gadwall (11)
Mallard (69)
Northern Shoveler (2 on Gravel Woods Road)
Green-winged Teal (30 at Wal-Mart Distribution Center)
Great Blue Heron (5)
Great Egret (at Wal-Mart Distribution Center, fourth pond)
Northern Harrier (3)
Cooper's Hawk
American Kestrel (8)
Eurasian Collared-Dove (adjacent to West Greene High School)
Eastern Phoebe (2)
Winter Wren
Hermit Thrush
Palm Warbler
Savannah Sparrow (3 at Wal-Mart Distribution Center)
Fox Sparrow (in Greeneville)
Swamp Sparrow (5)
Brown-headed Cowbird (450+)
