For those of you who will be trying for the Bristol Bird Club Short-eared Owl
Dash with us, here are directions to the Meadowview Conference Center at
Kingsport.
I-81 to the I-26 exit and then west on I-181 at that point until you see the
big Meadowview Hotel and Conference center in Kingsport at the exit on your
right. You won't miss this if you are watching.

From I-26 travel west to I-81 and, at that point, the interstate becomes I-181
as you head further west towards Kingsport.

After getting off the I-181 ramp the main driveway into the Meadowview
Hotel/Conference center is on your right.

Pull up the driveway and bear right into the conference center parking area
rather than left into the hotel parking area. All of this will be within just
a few feet and it is not difficult or complicated. We will meet hear the road
entrance on the right side going in at that parking area.

Several birders may come all at once so don't panice if you get there around 5
p.m. or such and no one is there. We will try to be able to roll out at 5:15
p.m. The owl location is belived to be about 5 minutes or so away.

The Short-eared Owl is best available in the last hour or so before dark on
overcast days with a little promise of sprinkle or light rain. So we are
making a last minute dash for this.

Let's go birding......
