[bristol-birds] Snow and birds

With snowfall relatively scarce this winter, the light dusting of snow this
morning (Monday, Feb. 4) seemed to catch some birds by surprise. My feeders
in Hampton, TN, saw a lot of activity. Back was the Field Sparrow as well as
the House Finches, which had been negligent about visiting the feeders
recently. A Carolina Wren has also found the suet feeder and is competitive
with the White-breasted Nuthatches and Downy Woodpeckers. Lots of other
common resident birds, but no sign of the Pine Siskins that I had spotted a
few times in January.
