Flocks of people from across the world will be
flying to Galveston Island,Texas sometime during
the spring to see a myriad of birds. They know that
Galveston Island sits astride the great northward
trans gulf migration flyway.
The lucky ones will be planning to attend the fifth
annual celebration to nature, FeatherFest 2007.
FeatherFest 2007 is Thursday March 29 through
Sunday April 1..and all the details and ways to pre
register can be found on
www.galvestonfeatherfest.com
Experts will take you to the best birding locations
on the Upper Texas Coast. They will help you spot
late wintering birds, early trans gulf migratory birds
and a host of our all-season birds. For the listers,
come add the Attwater Prairie chicken and the Yellow
rail, or the white morph Reddish egret.
FeatherFest 2007 has something for everyone. There
are events for all levels of birder, there are inside and
outside butterfly and photography workshops, there
are activities for non birding spouses and ones that
showcase the charm of historic Galveston, its victorian
homes, great hotels and restuarants. There are two
free socials, in particular an evening of Art and Music
inspired by nature.
Come roost with us awhile.!
Sincerely
FeatherFest 2007 Committee.
