Hi Folks and Happy New Year!

The Glade Spring Christmas Bird Count was carried out on December 30, 2006. 
Participants included Ron Harrington, Bob Quillen, and Bill Charles in Area A; 
Randy Smith, Mike Hagy, and J.B. Hilmon (Feeders only) in Area B; Ed Morgan, 
Rob Morgan, and Ramsey White in Area C; Wallace Coffey, Chris O'Bryan, Charlie 
Parker, and Andrew W. Jones in Area D; Jo Ann Detta and Marty Huber in Area E; 
and Betty Edmondson, Suzanne Reid, and Diane Harris, Area F.

A total of 66 species and 8,101 individual birds were counted. Last year we 
had 69 species and 7,863 individual birds. The temperature ranged from a low of 
27 degrees to a high of 55 degrees. The sky was clear in the early morning, 
but a high cloud cover rolled in as the day progressed. There was no 
precipitation.
