Bristol Bird Club member, Dr. John Moyle, will present a slide
illustrated lecture on "The Wildlife of East Africa" for the club's January 17
meeting (tonight).
The meeting will be held at the East Tennessee State University -- Bristol
Center on the Volunteer Parkway in Bristol Tennessee at 7:30 p.m. The public
is invited to attend the meeting and to also join our members at 6 p.m. at the
Mad Greek Restaurant on the Volunteer Parkway for dinner on your own. We'll be
watching for you.
Dr. Moyle's program will consider the diverse habitats and the great variety of
animals supported by their great national parks. Included in his photos will
be the great predators (lion, leopard, cheetah and crocodile), the monster
mammals (elephant, rhino and hippopotamus), fascinating rascals (baboons,
ververts, and Sykes and Colobus monkeys), colorful birds (starlings, weavers
and sunbirds), odd folk (adder, giraffe, maribu, hornbills and oxpeckers) and
the great masses (flamingo, pelican, wildebeest and zebra).
Come join us.
Let's go birding......
