Joy and I went there this afternoon to see the Bald Eagles - no such luck.
Did run into Bryan Stevens, Joe McGinnis (sp?) and others.

We did see;

on Little Wilbur Lake:
Ruddy Duck
BuffleHead
Ring-necked Duck
Crow
Red-tailed Hawk
Canada Goose
Mallard
Pileated Woodpecker

at Watauga Dam Overlook:
Pied-billed Grebe
Raven
Crow
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
Ring-billed Gull
Hairy Woodpecker
Golden-crowned Kinglet
Carolina Chickadee
Yellow-rumped Warbler

in Watauga River below Little Wilbur:
a couple of Great Blue Heron
