Area Birders,
On Monday, January 10, Dave Worley presented a great digital slide program of 
his recent Costa Rican Birding Trip to the Buchanan County Bird Club.
Dave managed to get to Grundy a few hours earlier in the day, and he and I ( 
Roger Mayhorn) birded the Poplar Gap Park not far from Grundy. We found the 
resident flock of 20+ HORNED LARKS, KILLDEER, PILEATED WOODPECKERS, DOWNY 
WOODPECKERS, EASTERN BLUEBIRDS, JUNCOS, SONG AND WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS, 
CARDINALS and CAROLINA CHICKADEES.
After the birding Dave was invited to dinner at Italian Village with more 
members of the BCBC prior to the program presentation. After the program the 
club presented Dave with a small gift in appreciation.
On behalf of the club I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dave for 
the interesting and informative presentation.
