I had a few minutes to bird before class this morning, so I headed up to
Wilbur Lake (no Townsend's).  There were no new ducks on the lake either. 
I drove on toward the campground and found a flock of chickadees and
titmice.  While I was busy "pishing" at the birds, a car pulled up
alongside me.  The gentleman in the car said "Boy, that there eagle is
somethin' else, ain't he?"

Of course, being the Master of the Obvious, I said "What eagle?"

"That one right there.  He's here all the time." he replied.

I looked where he was pointing (about 30 yards away) and there was an adult
Bald Eagle perched on an open limb.  The bird was looking at me ever so
curiously.  

After school, my son and I drove back up to Wilbur.  The eagle was still
hanging out in the same place (different limb).  So, J.T. got to see his
first ever wild Bald Eagle.  He was pretty excited.
