Reece Jamerson, Howard Langridge and Bryan Stevens birded in Washington County,
TN, in the Limestone area on Jan. 15, from 4-5:30 p.m.
Along Smith Branch Road, near the fields on Keebler Rd. where Rick Knight
recently had the Horned Larks and Lapland Longspurs, we had 60+ American
Pipits and 20+ White-crowned Sparrows.
On David Crockett Birthplace Road, we had a Northern Harrier and a flock of 70+
unidentified birds. The birds simply got out of sight before we could get out
of the car.
On Corby Bridge Road, we had a Northern Harrier chasing a Red-tailed Hawk out
of the vicinity, as well as a single Savannah Sparrow.
At WestView School pond, we had 20+ Red-winged Blackbirds.
Bryan Stevens,
Hampton, TN
