While birding in southwestern Washington Co. today, I located a large flock of 
Horned Larks (200+).  As I sorted through them, they suddenly flushed.  A 
beautiful adult male Peregrine Falcon zoomed past.  Once he departed, the larks 
settled down again.  I had heard the calls of one or two longspurs in the lark 
flock & was able to spot at least 7 Lapland Longspurs once the group settled.  
These are rather rare in East Tenn.; I've only seen them here 4 or 5 times 
previously.

The location is on Keebler Rd., just south of Limestone (near the Wash. / 
Greene Co. line).  Larks are fairly regular, but often hard to spot, in these 
extensive fields.  A few years ago I found 3 Laplands at this site.
