I have found a couple of programs out there, one called Super which is
partly accessible and it did do the job with a bit of fiddling. I suppose
it also ought to be possible to use Winamp with the Realaudio plugin but I
just wondered if anyone else had tried these methods.

IT won't work. Real is a propriitary format that they won't let anyone
support but Real. This is why absolutely nobody likes Real.
