Actually, I'm using firmware V1.29E and it works great.
Brian what are your impressions of rockbox so far? It's worth getting it 
talking just to be able to know your battery capasity and free disk space 
etc.
I will tell you all something else, in that when you are playing a song 
rockbox will still speak, but it will not in pause. And the other thing is 
on the H300 series is is laggy but pretty good for access for a development 
stage!
