Hi Anna,
If you are serious about editing MP3 Tags, a better way of doing it is by
using MP3Tag. This can be found at http://www.mp3tag.com. Not only is it
free, but it does batch tag editing too, and has a macro language, so you
can replace variables with for example, track numbers.
All the best
Steve

Subject: [blindipod] editing ID3 tags
Hi,
I know the topic of editing ID3 tags has come up on this list occasionally,
so I thought I'd pass along something I just learned from Michael Jones of
LevelStar. You can edit ID3 tags and find out the recording quality of any
MP3 or WMA (including protected WMA) file by going to Properties with
Alt-Enter and choosing the Summary tab. Press the Advanced button to see all
the tag information. You can also select multiple files and edit the
information they have in common, such as album title, using Properties.
Unfortunately this doesn't appear to work with Ogg Vorbis or AAC files, but
for MP3 and WMA files it's a convenient method for editing the information.
Cheers,
Anna
