Hi Andy,
It was an offer of a free 1 gb. Apple ipod shuffle if you subscribed either
to the basic subscription of £9.99each month for one credit per month, or
£14.99 per month for two credits per month to buy either one book or two
books from audible.co.uk for a minimum period of twelve months. So as the
new ipod shuffle was worth £55, i didn't think it was a bad deal!!

Michael.

Hi Anna,
I have now received my new Apple ipod shuffle this morning, and yes Anna,
the two switches, one for switching between on and off, and the other for
switching between random and normal order of playback is good. My question
is, as i am intending in the main to use for transferring audible books that
i have purchased from audible.co.uk in format 4 onto the new shuffle, is, 1.
Can i do this easily without necessarily the need for itunes 7 and or the
scripts for it? and 2. If this is not required, when i return to a book,
will i return to the point where i left it at? or will the Itunes 7 scripts
be necessary in order to do this?
Thanks, any help would be appreciated.
Michael Brown.

Hi Andy,
From the description you sent and the one I read when it was first
announced, it sounds like this player should work very much like the old
Shuffle, so I would expect it to be equally accessible. One thing I liked
in the description was that apparently there are now two switches - one for
turning the Shuffle on and off, and one for switching between random and
ordered play. Definitely sounds like an improvement.
Cheers,
Anna
