Ok guys, just spoke to the person who got the player from ebay for me.
It turns out they bought the wrong model. They saw the 40 gig iriver
label and didn't check the model number.
Looks like it will go back up on ebay for the same price I bought it and
see what happens. It's brand new so shouldn't be too much trouble to
sell on.
