[blindipod] The new ipod from audible.co.uk

Hello folks,
I am a total novice and new to ipods. I have just subscribed to audible.co.uk
to the premium monthly subscription to gain credits to purchase audible books,
with the offer giving me the 1 gb. ipod micro worth £55. My question is, do i
require itunes version 7for this ipod? and if so, obviously Brian's scripts for
that version?or, will it work with itunes version 6, and the corresponding
scripts? which as i understand Brian to mean is the safer option at present?
any help appreciated,
