[blindipod] Re: Downloading Daisy books to Milestone

Hi Alison,
I have delayed buying the Milestone for a couple of reasons. The first
is that the connection to the computer is USB 1 which will make it slower than
most devices I use which are USB2. The second is I want to wait for Milestone
to be equipped with Audible player, so I can listen to books downloaded from
Audible.
Regards
Philip

Hello Ian
I'm still waiting for my Braille manual and don't find reading the manual
online the best solution for me. I am slowly working my way through it.
But yesterday, when I tried to copy a book in mp3 format from my hard drive
to the Milestone, I kept getting the message to insert the card and when I took
it to work today, my colleague downloaded a book from his laptop and it took
nearly half an hour. Surely it shouldn't take this long?
Another problem I have is that as soon as I put a c.d. in the D Drive, Itunes
opens up. I'm wondering whether to abandon my much loved Ipod Shuffle now I
have the Milestone and do away with Itunes completely - any thoughts?
Alison
