your email came through but we don''tseem to have any answerss for you.
there are several things you could try.
1 try and use another xp system..
2 the chewed cabel may have caused a short in your player damaging it in
someway.
3 check the cabel with another device.
that'sall I can think of so far.
good luck.
joe.

  Subject: [blindipod] USB cables

  Hello everyone,

I sent this message out a few days ago and got no response. Is this because
nobody knows what I should do, or did nobody see this message? I'd like a
response either/or, please.

   The message follows:

  Hi,
I am desperate. My dog chewed the USB cable that I had orriginally bought
with the PNY vibe MP3 player. I bought a new one, and it fit perfectly, both
into
the player and the computer. I turn the computer on, go to my computer, my
mp3 player comes up as a removable disk. All is fine and well, because it is
there. Now I press enter. Wow...nothing? Absolutely nothing, 0 items.
Meanwhile, I take the headphones and plug them in, and power on the player.
Music.
All of the music I had had on it since the dog chewed the other cable. I
looked in the properties, hoping for some clue, after reconnecting the unit to
the computer. It says that the file system is unknown. I try to re-format it,
and all I get is to be set back in the list of drives (local disk, removable
disk, etc etc). I am using a windows xp machine, with a 1.10 GHZ processor
and have 480 MB of ram on it. Can somebody tell me, please, what is going on
here? I don't think it is the cable, otherwise the player wouldn't have shown
up at all. I am stumped as to what is going on. Even if you don't have the
exact brand of player, yet your player stil comes up as a removable disk in
my computer, please if you have experienced this, what was your solution?
thanks so much, and sorry for the long message.
  - Tyler
