I have some thoughts ... maybe not answers, but thoughts ... First,
I'd download Brian's scripts because they'll run for 10 minutes which
is enough time for you to check out what's happening with itunes when
you plug in your iPod. If nothing else, you can go to the help menu
and find out what you're running. Second, I would look for a file
named itunessetup.exe. That's the file you may (or may not) have
downloaded from the apple site. Run it to install itunes OR, knowling
you have the setup file, you could uninstall itunes from the control
panel and then run the setup program. Other people may have better
suggestions, but this is what I'd do. Merrill
