[blindipod] Re: experiences using iPod

Well here's what I'm thinking of doing, and I don't know if it will
work or how. I like using my iPod Shuffle for music. I've been
listening to podcasts with other portable equipment. I don't want to
import the podcasts into iTunes. I have iTunes keeping track of its
own catalog and iTunes copies the files, making its own folders, so I
would end up with two copies of podcasts. I really don't want to
bother with adding to the library, copying the files to my iPod, and
deleting them afterwards when I can just copy them to a different
portable device and delete them off the device when I'm done. But that
means bouncing back and forth between at least two portable devices.
So I was wondering if I could use the iPod as a drive to copy the
podcasts, listen, and delete them without messing with iTunes. That
still leads me to ask about the order of play since access is
important. Hope this makes sense. Merrill
