Daniel, do any of these patches give us access to the recording screens, on

Actually there has been some development on porting espeak. but as I
have said before the licensing is a problem still...
After speaking to aliask on irc I think rockbox will have to change
their license or we will have to use an older version.
The author of espeak doesn't want to change his license.
And apparently someone has had success running this on the 4th gen.
You can, however use .talk clips and about 40 patches I have here to
make everything accessible accept the plugins.
Actually there is a patch which gives the plugin api access to the talk
functions. Like:
talk_id /*play a voice clip from english.voice*/
talk_value /*say a value*/
Note they're just my comments.
And all the other ones as well like talk_disable and so on...
If you have the skills you can make plugins talk.
I have made battery bench talk but stopped work on properties...
