well I'd be grateful if the thing'd just work with my computer... it did for a
while but when I plug it in now, it makes the hardware insertion notification,
then a few seconds later it makes the hardware deactivation sound and I'd not
even unplugged it.
any ideas? thanks. I'm using windows xp home.

The Zen menu provide no audio to navigate folders, that is my problem with
all these players. I like the FM option but I had no luck trying to set the
tuner so I can switch between the radio and MP3 files.
Sometimes I counted the times I had to press the button, but often it would
loose the setting and take me to other folders.
I got rid of mine for a shuffle in the mean time.
I don't think you can deactivate the other folders, but that would be a
solution if you could.
Otherwise, it is pretty easy to operate.

Subject: [blindipod] Question Re the Creative 1GB Zen Nano Plus Player
Hi everyone,
I just joined this list a couple of days ago because I'm now finally trying
to enter the world of MP3 players. I purchased the Creative Zen Nano Plus
player because I was looking for something that could not only play MP3 files
but had the FM tuner as well. I'll be working with it more this weekend, and I
do have sighted help to get it going, but I was wondering if anyone else has
had experiences with the MP3 Player/FM Tuner combo. Reading over the
documentation is getting me concerned that as a totally blind user I may have
bitten off more than I can handle because of the menus, but before I return the
unit I thought I'd check with the list.
Thanks, and hope this hasn't been asked too many times before (grin).
