I don't think the files play because your machine won't play files saved in
Apple's format but in iTunes preferences there's a 'import' tabsheet' there
you can set iTunes to import using an mp3 encoder.

Subject: [blindipod] ITUNES FILE FORMATS

Hi all,

Last night I transferred some music files which had been created by iTunes
to a CF card using Windows Explorer. The transfer appeared to go fine, but
I then tried to play the files on the card on my Book courier. The courier
would not play the files. My question is is this likely to be because the
format in which iTunes has saved the files is other than MP3? If so, how
can I convert them and files like them into MP3?

Cheers now.

Ian
