Hi Merrill,
You would uncheck the songs in the library so they wouldn't be loaded into
the iPod. You can select groups of songs, so you could use the browser
(which you get to with Control-B while focused on the library) to locate
your Christmas albums and select albums one at a time. Or you could search
for the word Christmas to get a bunch of the Christmas songs all
together. That would probably be the fastest way, though it might not find
all of them - it would find anything with Christmas in the title and, I
think, anything with Christmas in the album title. Then at Christmas time,
you could use the same procedure and uncheck the songs.
iTunes added the ability to group playlists into folders in the latest
release. I haven't tried this yet, so don't know how accessible it is, but
it could be really convenient for situations like this - you could make
playlists of your Christmas albums and group them in a Christmas folder,
making them easy to find for checking or unchecking.
Cheers,
Anna
