Rich,

I tried the command sequence you have proposed, since I'm dealing with
the same frustration. After I "opened the iPod's contents in a new
window," I only saw one item from my music folder in that window. And
though I hit the deleted button and hit YES in the ensuing dialog box,
I don't think it deleted successfully.

So Anna's comment of early this morning probably still holds true:
You'll need some sighted assistance to click on a little arrow that
appears beside the IPOD entry in your iTunes source list. After you
expand the view by clicking on the little arrow, which JAWS cannot
detect, you will then just be able to arrow down from the iPod entry
in your source list and see MUSIC, TV SHOWS, MUSIC VIDEOS, etc., as
folders representing the contents of your iPod. You shouldn't have to
open anything in a separate window, but you will need a pair of eyes
to expand this view first.

I think the problem is that the way iTunes creates and organizes its
graphics is not compatible with how JAWS interacts with your video
card. Not being a programmer or a script writer, that's the best I
can do.
