Hi Rich,
If you have an iPod Shuffle, Tab twice from where you see its name in the
source list, and you'll be in the track list where the contents are displayed.
If it's a bigger iPod Down Arrow from the iPod name in the source list. You
will come to categories like Music and Audiobooks, then playlists if you have
any. To see the music on your iPod, arrow to Music, then tab twice to the list
of music. If you choose Audiobooks and tab twice, you'll see a list of all the
audiobooks in your iPod.
To delete something, select it by arrowing to it (you can use Shift and the
arrows to select more than one item) and press Delete.

How does one delete content from the iPod using iTunes?
I have found my iPod in iTunes and go to open but cant seem to arrow around and
see the contents of my iPod.
I am running jaws 8 and iTunes 7.3.
