Merrill,

Thanks for this. I do have Jaws. Are the Jaws scripts compatible with all
Jaws package releases? I am currently running Jaws 5.1

Thanks for your help here.

Yours,

John w.

Hi John, have you read the description of the Zen Stone on
http://www.hartgen.org/ ? This will provide links to a program and
JAWS
scripts (if you use JAWS) that will assist you with using the Zen
Stone as a
        target for CDs.

Depending on the size of your collection, not all of your CDs will
fit on
the Zen Stone so you may want to think about organizing them on your
PC so
that you can pick and choose and only rip the CDs once.

        HTH ~Merrill

Subject: [blindipod] Transformation/Transfer Software for the Zen
Stone
        Media Player

        Hello,

Although I have been actively involved in the world of information
technology for some decades now, it has only been during the last
few weeks
that I have taken the plunge and acquired a portable media player -
the
        Creative Zen stone.

I see this move as "a starter for 10". However, I believe I need
some help
and assistance to get myself up and running.

I should like in the first instance to be able to take portions of
my
compact disc collection and copy these to the Zen stone.

As a totally blind individual. I am interested to understand what
accessible
transformation/transfer software exists to enable me to get started
with the
migration of my CD collection using the Creative Zen stone as the
target
        device.

Any assistance in this area would be much appreciated.

Thanking you in advance for your response.

        Yours,

        John wilson
