[blindipod] Using iTunes with Rock Box

When I was reading about Rock Box, apparently it will not work with iTunes
because iTunes encodes its music as AAC. However, you can go to iTunes
preferences and change the way it imports music to MP3. If this were done
would Rock Box then read and play your music from your iTunes data base?
