[blindipod] ipods and rockbox

I have a nano and a photo with rockbox.  Do I install rockbox for photo and 
nano   both on the computer?  I have photo installed on one and it recognizes 
the drive.  Can I connect my nano to that same computer and transfer music 
without installing the rockbox nano software?
