hi Annabel.
are you using window eyes, 5 . 0 if so.
go to system tray, press enter on Anapod.
arrow down to connect Ipod.
then back to system tray and Anapod Manger, then open anapod explorer.
with this open you will see Memory and then Data folders.
rout your mouse to the Memory and click on it.
then tab will be a custom control box, rout your mouse to this and click.
them open Explorer and go to your folder where you music is, and then copy the
folders of your song copy to clipboard.
them back Anapod explorer and them paste then into the box.
this is what I do and it works very well.
if you are having problems you can contact me privately.
all the best.
Barrie

I have done all the things you kindly suggested but it still says, when
opening Annapod, that it cannot establish communication with my device. I've
even been to the on-line help and done everything suggested. Do you have any
more suggestions? Annabel. PS My Ipod is showing as a drive.
