[blindipod] Rockbox and player reccomendations

Hi,
I have been looking at Rockbox for the iPod but with me having my
music in quite a high MP3 bitrate it didn't sound the most stable
combination available. So I want to know what people think is the
best player, taking strongly into account that I very much like my
iPod 3G because of its slimness to fit in a pocket and its
popularrity meaning everything you could ever want seems to be
available for it. Much of my music is in MP3 VBR at an average of
256KBPS, meaning a max of 320KBPS in the encoding settings.
Thanks for any help
Dean
