[blindipod] Missing Codecs

Hi All
I hope somebody can helpwith this.
I have some MP3 files on my PC but when I click on them Itunes doesn't open
them and will not import them into my library.
When I try to open it with Windows Media Player an error occurs saying missing
codecs.
WM then tries to find the codecs with no joy.
I've done a search on the net and all I can find is codecs for WM.
I can't find anything about finding the correct codecs for Itunes.
Any thoughts please?
